SELLING USED GEAR? THIS IS HOW IT WORKS
SELLING USED GEAR
Sellers should plan to arrive by 4pm so that we can organize the gear.
- Put each of the items you are selling into individual Ziplock or paper bags.
- Write the following information on each of your bags:
- the name of the item (i.e. uniform skirt, uniform top, game tank, cheer shoes, etc.)
- the exact size of the item that's on the tag
- your name (first and last)
- the price you are selling the item for – please refer to the Gear Sell/Exchange Pricing Guide (See Below)
- Purchasers will leave the money in the bag and give to an assigned staff member.
- All money must be collected by the end of the event at 6:30pm. Any unclaimed funds not picked up by 6:30pm on 5/16/24 will be donated to the program.
PLEASE NOTE: This is meant to be a cash only event. If a seller wants to accept venmo/zelle the seller must manage that transaction. WLYC staff will not facilitate electronic payments.
All sellers are encouraged to bring their items and stay to sell their items. If you drop off your items to sell and leave the premises, please know that they will be sold on the honor system. No one will be monitoring if someone left money with your item before they leave the building. West Linn Youth Cheer and its coaches/staff are not responsible for lost/stolen items.

If you cannot attend the used gear exchange event and you want to sell any items, please add your items to our Facebook group "West Linn Youth Cheer Gear."
BUYING USED GEAR? THIS IS HOW IT WORKS
When you first arrive the room will be separated so that youth sizes and adult sizes are seperated. If you do not know what size you need, you can ask a coach for a suggestion on where to start, or you can just go with a size you think will fit and go from there. You can always ask a coach or staff member if they think the sizing is an appropriate fit.
BUYING USED GEAR
Each used item will be in an individual bag with the item name, sellers name, size and price. If you want to purchase an item you will take the item out of the bag and leave the money for the item you want to purchase. You may also try on items before you buy. Once you have put the money in a bag, hand the bag to a WLYC coach or staff member before you leave. This event is meant to be cash only. If a seller is willing to accept venmo/zelle you will have to work directly with that seller. WLYC coaches/staff will not assist with that transaction.
EXCHANGING GEAR
The program will have a small amount of new and used uniform, jackets, shoes, etc. sizes available the day of the event. Families are welcome to bring their current gear and swap out for a different size. The is first come first serve and we will not hold an item for anyone. These items can also be purchased if you do not have gear to exchange.
DONATING GEAR
If you want to donate any gear to the program, please drop the items off in a bag and hand to a coach or WLYC board member.

Cheerleaders are welcome to try items on before purchasing. Please wear a sports bra, Nike pros or other similar athletic shorts and socks when trying on items.
